Kyalami Estates Pre-Primary opens at 7:15am. During this time your children will engage in free play activities placed in the classroom. Each of the classroom tables will have an interesting activity to capture your child’s attention – playdough, painting, free draw on chalk boards, matching games etc. The carpet area will be filled with large classroom apparatus – blocks, fantasy equipment, large floor puzzles etc. In this time your child will establish friendships, rotate between the equipment provided, share special stories with his/her teacher and settle into the classroom environment.

School officially starts at 8:30am.  At 8:30 all parents are asked to drop and go as teaching time has begun. The teaching day begins with 15 minutes outside free play for all children to settle in and establish friendships with their peers. As the children return to class they settle on the carpet for their first ring time in which they discuss news, weather, theme discussion etc.

We have 4 different collection times: 12h30 / 13h30 / 15h00 / 17h00

12h30 – School finishes at 12h30. A mid-morning snack needs to be sent to school.

13h30 – This collection time includes a warm home-made lunch.

15h00 – This collection time includes a warm home-made lunch and an afternoon sleep.

17h00 – This collection time includes a warm home-made lunch, an afternoon sleep, an afternoon snack and supervised play until collected before or at 17h00.
